Your Key Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process in the development of a plan encompassing the agreed sales, supply, and inventory plans, to meet the short- and medium-term sales ambitions of the business.

  • Ensure the effective execution of the S&O planning process within APO (or another planning system) at global level and influence the regions to enable an integral supply chain planning in the system.

  • Contribute Product Cluster Review (PCR) deck with pro-active identification of potential pain-points that need to be addressed.

  • Provide input to S&OP meeting with "what if" scenarios to the proposed plan and simulate the effect of various alternatives.

  • Define inventory levels and stock policies in agreement with business management and with regional Supply Chain teams.

  • Manages the allocation process when needed.

  • Manage alignment of strategies/projects and of innovation/new business development activities, with chain execution/optimization policies to ensure effective and efficient execution of these strategies while adhering to stock policies & OWC considerations.

  • Depending on local organization structure may manage a small group of supply chain specialists / planners.

  • As appropriate, Identify and agree supply chain improvement projects with business stakeholders (eg. Product Management, Procurement, third party suppliers & tollers).

  • Manage basic change management activities (MOC) essentially relating to supply/supply chain activities (e.g., collaboration with Product Management on Country-unique specifications or labels, special pack sizes, etc.)

You Bring

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a planning function.

  • Ideally, Bachelor of Science or Diploma in supply chain management, business administration or equivalent

  • Deep systems knowledge of SAP / IBP / APO systems.

  • Broad experience of stakeholder management ; strong communication skills; able to reconcile conflicting goals with the best overall outcome for dsm-firmenich.

  • Affinity to learn, root cause, understand and use new systems and processes

  • Certification / Professional designation in Supply Chain (eg, APICS CPIM, CPLI P.Log., etc.) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (second language is a plus).

  • People management is plus.
