C.H. Robinson Associate Operations Coordinator in Barcelona, Spain
As an Associate Operations Coordinator you will perform basic-to-intermediate level operational tasks that enable C.H. Robinson to meet the transportation needs of customers and carriers. With a sharp focus on data integrity, quality and efficiency, you may perform operational task work in support of a specific customer, vertical segment or within a centralized operations center. Specific responsibilities will vary depending upon the type of assignment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
With a focus on quality and efficiency, executes one or more of the following tasks in accordance with office and company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs): creating orders, activating shipments, building loads, assigning loads, scheduling appointments, tracking and tracing shipments, invoicing, updating financials, executing non-standardized activities related to carrier payments (T-cheks), rejecting orders, cancelling orders, updating and resolving events, booking loads, bouncing loads and executing load builder profiles
Monitors task boards and assigned email accounts to respond to customer and carrier requests
Documents events utilizing knowledge gained through SOPs and experience and, when required, follows defined escalation procedures
Follows through on customer or carrier requests to ensure satisfaction. Escalates questions or requests when necessary
Validates and ensures the accuracy of load data in systems according to CHR and customer standards
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience as an Associate Operations Coordinator
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends (select roles only)
For external postings only: Minimum two years’ call center customer service or transportation/logistics experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Previous customer service experience in a call center or similar environment
Demonstrated communication, prioritization, and time management skills
Prior work experience that required attention to detail and accuracy
