Project Engineering Intern - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH

At BWXT, our interns perform challenging tasks in their field of study while developing and delivering unique solutions for use in a nuclear environment. Our interns work collaboratively as part of our teams and will create/update drawings and procedures, assist with product and/or tooling designs, perform testing and analysis, and assist with project management and the procurement of materials as needed. A BWXT internship not only provides valuable on the job training but allows you to be a part of something bigger!

BWXT offers paid internships along with a housing stipend for those interns whose home of record is more than 50 miles from Barberton, OH. Internships will last approximately 10-12 weeks. At the end of the internship, each intern has the opportunity to present their completed work/ assigned projects to the leadership team.

Job Description / Duties:

• Learn and understand the responsibilities of a Project Engineer.

• Support with configuration management, coordination and technical support of design and manufacturing operations.

• Assist with the coordination of technical issues among Engineering/Manufacturing functions

• Supports with drawing development and control

• Maintains change control

• Interfaces with Customer on design and technical issues

• Prepares technical reports and documents

• Provides technical justification of non-conforming conditions

• Maintains cognizance of contract requirements

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Qualifications include strong communications skills, and interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture.

• Pursuing a technical Bachelor's degree

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOE issued Security Clearance
