Aon ’s Apprenticeship Program was designed to create a new and alternative pathway to gain valuable on-the-job experience and support your career at Aon , while pursuing an associate degree.
Fully p aid tuition and book expenses toward your two-year Business Administration associate degree at College of Lake County
Combined work and school schedule totaling 40 hours per week; in person at Aon’s Bannockburn office and attending classes on campus at College of Lake County
Eligible pay increases every six months for the duration of the 2-year program
Program begins August 1st, 2025
After successful completion of the program, you may receive a promotion with a pay increase. You will also have achieved the ‘Certified Insurance Apprentice’ designation by the Department of Labor in addition to your associate degree. By this point, you will have established a career at Aon and will have many opportunities to grow as an industry professional .
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Strong verbal and written communication
Effective time management, task prioritization and attention to detail
C ollaborat ion , critical think ing, problem solv ing & eager ness to learn
What is r equired & e xpected?
High School Diploma or equivalent GED certification or be on track to graduate from high school by July 1, 2025
Minimum age of 18 years old by Ju ne 15, 2025
B e accepted into one of our p artner c ollege s and m aintain passing grades ( i.e. C ’s or higher)
Meet the minimum enrollment requirements for our partner college’s AAS B usiness Administration program
B e authorized to work in the US . Aon does not offer sponsorship for this position.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary for this position is $44,000 annually. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary reflected is based on the primary w ork location of IL . The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
