** This is inclusive of a $10.00/hr. salary adjustment and a .60¢/hr. institutional stipend

The starting salary is based on education and experience. Starting salary for promotional candidates will follow contractual requirements.

Job duties:

The Risk Manager performs a variety of functions associated with the coordination and management of all activities related to the review and mitigation of serious clinical risk and safety incidents. Manages initiatives that impact patient care and employee safety, including the development of organizational systems to provide basic and complex preventative risk management assessment, incident analysis, and post mitigation review processes, procedures, and programs at Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center. The Risk Manager is part of the Quality and Informatics Department and will work closely with the department to effect change in process and practice. This position requires a highly motivated, self-initiating individual who can adapt quickly to competing demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field and two (2) years of professional nursing experience -OR- graduation from an accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of professional nursing experience. Experience must include one (1) year overseeing and providing medical and/or psychiatric nursing care in a hospital facility.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience or certification in Quality Management, Patient Safety, Process Improvement, Risk Management or a related body of knowledge.
