Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join us a Tax Manager. Reporting to the ASEAN Tax Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all Thailand corporate tax compliance, tax audit, tax planning, tax accounting, transfer pricing, indirect tax matters for Siemens Thailand group of entities.

You’ll make a difference in:

  • Reviewing and approving monthly, quarterly and yearly tax accounting and reporting packages (corporate income tax and deferred tax) based on local and HQ reporting requirements, including tax disclosure in statutory reports.

  • Reviewing and approving submission of Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing and other statutory returns to tax authorities

  • Handling tax queries raised by business units, tax authorities and other departments on business models, inbound and outbound WHT, international tax and cross-border transactions (such as Permanent Establishment, VAT, DST); including review of tax clauses in contracts

  • Advising on Transfer Pricing issues for inter-company transactions, support Global Tax Department on BEPS reporting

  • Handling ad-hoc tax advisory and projects such as process improvement, new tax laws implementation, M&A, restructuring, e-Invoicing, etc.

  • Identifying and managing tax risk and opportunities; develop and implement effective tax planning and risk mitigation strategies

  • Establishing and maintaining efficient and effective tax processes and controls that meet tax compliance requirements; lead in tax process improvement and simplification (e.g. digitalization/automation of tax compliance and risk management processes)

  • Engaging stakeholders (CFO, shared services, accounting, IT, business controllers, HQ, etc.) proactively and provide regular updates, insights on local tax regulations and changes

  • Main point of contact for all Thailand tax matters in Siemens; coordinate and support tax queries from other Siemens companies

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

  • Degree in Tax, Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification

  • At least 10 years of professional tax experience in Big 4 or MNC with minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity

  • Proficient in Thailand's corporate tax, Indirect Taxes, Transfer Pricing knowledge and accounting principles/ Financial Reporting Standards

  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word & Powerpont)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Demonstrate initiative, a constant process improvement mindset, independent, organized with strong analytical skills and detailed-oriented
