Kuehne+Nagel Road Logistics Customs Manager in Bangkok, Thailand

Your Role

You will be responsible for the smooth and compliant operations of all customs-related activities while keeping abreast of updated customs related regulations

Your Responsibilities

  • To take lead in driving implementation of customs related projects, ensuring seamless onboarding.

  • To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to customs brokers, government agencies, trade compliance associations and customers.

  • To ensure accuracy of customs declaration form(s) submission and complete related activities as required by the government, facilitating timely clearance of all shipments.

  • To monitor performance of customs-related suppliers and end-to-end customs activities, including but not limited to checking of documents, entering data in relevant systems, inspections of goods, clearance and third-party documents.

  • To arrange for product re-classification with customs ruling department if required.

  • To oversee loading and unloading activities, escalate any defects to relevant parties and follow up with necessary surveys.

  • To create standard operating procedures, identify business risks and provide trainings whenever required.

  • To attend to customs examinations and ensure relevant certifications are valid.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Over 10 years experience in Customs job function

  • Over 3 years experience in managerial role leading a team of minimum 3 people

  • Good command of English

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fast learner and tech-savvy

  • Being active and initiative to solve the problems
