Your Role and Responsibilities

• UI Leadership: Lead a team of UI developers and designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise in AEM UI development.

• UI Architecture: Define the overall UI architecture for projects, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and scalability.

• UI Development: Oversee the design and development of responsive, visually appealing user interfaces for web applications on AEM, and actively participate in hands-on development.

• AEM Integration: Collaborate closely with the development team to integrate UI components seamlessly with AEM, using AEM's component framework.

• Component Customization: Lead efforts to create and customize AEM components, templates, and client-side libraries to meet project requirements.

• Cross-browser Compatibility: Ensure UI components are compatible across various web browsers and platforms.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize UI components for speed, responsiveness, and usability.

• User Experience (UX): Collaborate with UX designers and other stakeholders to implement designs that enhance the overall user experience.

• Accessibility: Ensure UI components comply with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and guidelines.

• Code Quality: Maintain code quality standards, perform code reviews, and implement best practices in UI development.

• Documentation: Prepare technical documentation for UI components, best practices, and share knowledge within the team.

• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest AEM UI features, trends, and best practices and guide the team accordingly.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the front-end team and cross-functional stakeholders, providing updates, gathering requirements, and managing project timelines.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Extensive experience in UI development on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5 and AEM Content as a Service (CaaS).

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.

• Strong knowledge of AEM core concepts and the ability to lead AEM component development.

• Experience with client-side frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with a collaborative and innovative approach.

• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• AEM certifications, such as Adobe Certified Expert (ACE), would be advantageous

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Adobe AEM certification(s).

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Knowledge of design principles, UI/UX best practices, and usability standards.
