The Microsoft Silicon Team is continuing to revolutionize consumer electronic devices & Cloud Computing.  We are looking for an experienced leader to setup and grow an Analog Design Center of Excellence who is innovative and has a passion for analog design and delivery of next generation of IP’s for Consumer & Cloud Computing Devices.

The SCIPS Analog group designs high performance mixed signal ASICs in leading edge CMOS technology using custom IC design tools. You will work in a diverse, dynamic environment and interact with other teams to help design and test great products!

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated leader with proven experience in building/growing Analog Mixed-Signal execution teams and having delivered multiple complex designs to production, having excellent technical & interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead an Analog Center of Excellence and establish a team of Analog/Mixed-Signal Engineers to deliver cutting edge, high-performance, high-speed, low-power Analog IP designs for interconnectivity solutions and fundamental Analog circuit blocks for various Microsoft products in various process nodes including deep FinFet, following industry best practices.

  • You will grow a team with requisite capabilities and grow a team culture consistent with Microsoft values. You willestablish pipelines of additional qualified contingent staff for project overflows. You are aware of budget, manage headcount, manage EDA tool requirements.

  • You will work along with other members of the team to deliver IP’s, including project planning, schedule tracking, report generation.You will follow / augment / put-in-place processes/methodologies in place for high quality execution along with peers.You will contribute to IP roadmaps and execution strategy.

Qualifications

  • You should have a BSEE or equivalent, MSEE/PhD preferred.

  • You should have at least25+ years of industry experience in Analog & Mixed Signal IC/IP delivery of medium-large complexity designs.

  • You have had atleast 15+ years of leadership experience building, growing and managing large Analog Mixed-Signal teams of 50+ people.You have worked with local companies to find additional contingent staff to augment your execution team.

  • You have owned and delivered large Analog IP’s like high-speed SerDes, Die-to-Die interfaces, USB, MIPI, HDMI or similar interfaces. You have delivered multiple of these into large scale production successfully, including some in FinFET processes.

  • You have experience with managing outlook for budgets, headcounts, EDA tools projections.

  • You have good inter-personal skills, you are able to interface with a variety of external partners (customers, architects, designers, project managers, etc.).
