With the ability to create powerful new Generative AI models comes the responsibility to educate our consumers about the origin and authenticity of content to maintain the highest level of trust with customers and protect them from misleading content aimed at swaying public opinions. As one of the founding members of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (c2pa.org), Microsoft has been at the forefront of providing technical solutions to combat online disinformation.

Currently, content produced by Microsoft’s generative AI models leverages C2PA specifications to inform users that the content is created by Generative AI. However, this is just the beginning. Significant work remains to ensure Microsoft and the industry provide the necessary transparency for online digital content and positively influence the generative AI era.

The Content Provenance team is hiring software developers to join our growing, agile, and diverse development team, which has team members with varying levels of industry experience. The team presents tremendous learning and career growth opportunities, focusing on modern web experience and online service development. We empower our team members to collaboratively deliver innovative solutions and enable Content Provenance at Microsoft.

Responsibilities

Take part in the design and development of reliable, scalable, and high-performance full-stack solutions.

Contribute to design documents and adhere to company guidance for security, privacy, and compliance standards.

Respond to incidents during regular on-call rotations as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for troubleshooting and mitigating issues while communicating customer impact and escalating issues as necessary.

Stay current in knowledge and expertise as the technology landscape evolves, adopting a growth mindset to learn new skills and using that knowledge to drive new solutions across the team.

Proactively identify and drive security, quality and process improvements across the team.

Collaborate to deliver solutions that span across the organizations.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience developing services and modern web experiences on Microsoft Azure or other full-stack solutions

• Excellent problem solving skills and computer science basics

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualications:

• 1+ years of working knowledge in C#, RUST, ReactJS, and Typescript is preferred

• Familiarity with media file formats, compression techniques, media streaming, and technologies used to secure media during distribution is a plus
