Cisco Senior Technical Writer for Cisco Networking in Bangalore, India

What You’ll Do

As a senior technical writer (7+ years’ experience) at Cisco, you will:

  • Drive a unified content strategy. Establish standardized release processes, content development best practices, and delivery and feedback mechanisms in the team.

  • Define content quality goals and track metrics.

  • Identify the significantly complex information needs of target audiences, develop appropriate content plans, and manage the execution of those plans.

  • Perform resource workload assessment and balancing across projects.

  • Create high-quality technical content for complex product and solution deployment needs.

  • Take on special projects/stretch assignments outside the scope of regular tasks.

  • Contribute towards strategies for enhancing content quality, usability, and next-gen content offerings.

  • Demonstrate proven ability in team building and the mentoring of junior writers.

The Cisco Networking group develops Cisco's Routing, Switching, Wireless, Network Management, and IoT products. We believe in delivering the very best product experiences for our customers, and in providing state of the art, user-centric content that complements Cisco’s diverse range of networking products and IT solutions.

Who You Are

You will have a successful career as a writer at Cisco if you have:

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • An in-depth understanding of technical writing principles.

  • Proficiency in writing GUI and CLI documentation.

  • A good understanding of the networking domain.

  • An in-depth understanding of content architecture principles and application.

  • Expertise in niche areas like user experience, analytics, automation, visual content, and augmented reality.

  • Creativity and critical thinking skills to solve customer problems.

  • The aptitude and drive to learn new products, technology, and tools.
