PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role is responsible for the design of projects related to packaging equipment and lines, blending, and supporting utilities, ensuring standardization of design across SC, adherence to good engineering standards and codes, and to ensure that the project/facility is designed in line with the best option for the business requirement. The role is also responsible for scouting out and validating new packaging technologies and upgradations for productivity and reliability of equipment.

TYPICAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: • B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Experience: • 12-15 years experience in Engineering projects and 3-4 years of experience in Bottling/packaging lines through projects/maintenance
Knowledge & skills: • Knowledge of liquid packaging and blending
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Experience in engineering design

• Works well in a team, can mange remote teams/projects/ multiple projects simultaneously.
'• Flexible for Pan India travels 20-30% of the time, based in Bangalore.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYPERFORMANCE MEASURES (QUANTITATIVE / QUALITATIVE)
1Leadership
• Lead the design of manufacturing facility and equipment specification as suited for the project
• Responsible for ensuring that leading industry practices are followed to generate state of the art engineering designs in the involved projects
2Functional
• Ensure that all the packaging and blending equipment designs are as per good engineering standards and compliant to EHS standards of USL
• Explore new technologies to develop subject matter expertise in bottling design and advise on possible implementation into our facilities
• Ensure there is standardization in the design across sites for the packaging / blending in new projects
• Analyse the allocations of various brands, SKUs, and supply management to work out the optimum solution balancing all capacities for the proposed project
3Design & Planning
• Work with the concerned Project Manager to provide the design and specifications for the project
• Work with Demand team and the Project manager and balance out the capacities and recommend based on the brand, SKU requirement
• Lead in preparation the CIR for Bottling projects as per requirement.
• Work with Unit engineering/opreations teams, External consultants & OEM's to prepare FEED, Concept Design, Cost esitmate and schedules, OEM selection, technology selection, FAT, Installation & Commissioning, handover to orpeations etc.
• Prepare project charter and RASCI matrix for all projects, understand end evaluate new technologies, automation & digitization projects related to bottling.
4Final commissioning
• Accountable for the output delivery of the equipment / project by assisting in the final commissioning and demonstration of the deliverables along with the Project Manager
