What we’re looking for from you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Engineer , with previous experience in wordpress development and UI development, working well within and across teams and transparently to stakeholders and management.
The person should have experience in Agile development methodologies including scrum and possess the ability to plan and oversee the independent initiatives, process, and tasks. They should observe and adapt, suggesting improvements to the overall process to adhere to the highest standards and fulfil business requirements. The candidate should have a willingness and synergy to take up new challenges, with the capability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Job Responsibilities
Develop enterprise-level WordPress plugins and themes as a senior engineer in a team, mainly with PHP & Gutenberg blocks in React.js, HTML, CSS/SCSS.
Website performance and SEO improvements experience. Ability to lead and mentor team members in this area.
Provide inputs to technical leadership related to website architecture.
Stay updated with latest industry trends and technologies
Consistently deliver high-quality software
Develop and maintain high-quality WordPress websites. Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements. Optimize website performance, scalability, and security. Provide inputs about the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Capability to proficiently troubleshoot caching and performance problems in various environments.
Work with your colleagues to improve core engineering best practices and principles
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Test websites across browsers, operating systems, and devices. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to WordPress or react development with minimal supervision.
Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Participate in opportunities such as plugin developments, contributing to organization RFCs, publishing blogs/articles, representing in community events/meetups etc.
Skills and Qualifications we look for
Minimum 7-8 years experience in Software Engineering
University degree or higher (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
Advance knowledge of WordPress and react technologies
Experience in developing headless JavaScript projects using WordPress
Core Engineering principles and best practices
Continuous delivery and associated tooling (example circleCI)
Experience with high performance and scalable applications
APIs and web services knowledge
A proven track record in delivering products and solutions
Good to have skills
Exposure to PHP development is a plus
Exposure to WordPress VIP
Experience in unit testing
Location : Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Working Arrangement : Hybrid - a minimum of three days in office per week
