Role Definition
As a Senior Associate Engineer, you shall be responsible for Piping System design, Piping layout, and preparing Piping Isometrics and GAs. This role should demonstrate and support industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation process and BOP systems engineering and design
Job Responsibilities
The candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications. Experience should include significant piping design and engineering involving piping systems design supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation process and BOP systems engineering and design.
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate knowledge of discipline-related industry standards, including ASME B31.3 & 31.8. Comprehensive knowledge with Autodesk applications and strong knowledge of design and drafting techniques to include fabrication drawings such as spool sheets, isometrics, SWEs, and shipping layouts. Experience with Solar Turbines strongly preferred.
Requires full use and application of standard engineering principles, concepts, and techniques of mechanical Piping design, detailing / CADs, with an understanding of established analytical/scientific methods and procedures. Able to interpret engineering drawings. Knowledgeable in the use and application of engineering analysis techniques. Familiar with standard gas turbine manufacturing, quality, design, and analysis methods.
Knowledge on Gas Turbines and Packaging systems & components are added advantages.
Coordinate with several functional team to progress the design intent (Hydro/Electrical/HMI Groups)
Good Presentation skill and demonstrate the capability through Design Review Meeting
Strong knowledge on material properties and their performance considering offshore & Onshore loading conditions.
Must apply practical design considerations and utilize technical knowledge to achieve design objectives relative to manufacturability, cost, quality, and durability.
Support innovation by applying the most effective Design solution for new product development.
Continuously challenges self-skills in functional area and stays current with industry developments in one’s field of expertise
Become part of the product team and form close working relationships by understanding the whole system function and presenting solutions and design direction to the design community in an insightful and timely manner.
Excellent in modelling techniques using Creo parametric / Autodesk
Good exposure to the use of Product Lifecycle Management tool – Windchill
Good Exposure on ASME/API/ISO/ANSI & DIN
Qualification:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Piping Design and Layout Good communication, organizational, teaming and analytical skills are a must. Working knowledge of computer aided design & drafting CADD system Knowledge of gas turbine operations, and driven equipment Field experience, knowledge on Windchill, BOP & Promis-e would be an added advantage.
