Amazon’s Global Catalog Operations (GCO) (part of the Catalog Selection and Systems organization) is looking for a customer focused Manager Program Manager to help us make the world’s best product catalog even better.

As a Manager, Program Management in GCO, you will define a new strategic initiative to identify and eliminate defects across multiple and diverse systems within Amazon’s ecommerce platform that negatively impact information quality of Amazon’s product catalog. You will define metrics that capture long term success criteria and use data to identify new opportunities. You will work with several business teams to define requirements, and lead projects across functional organizations. You will regularly communicate with senior management and other stakeholders on status, risks and regularly acquire executive sponsorship for cross team initiatives.

The successful candidate will be input focused and will have correlated those inputs to achieve impactful outputs. They will build closed loop processes and measures with our employees and stakeholders to ensure adoption of policy and processes so that measurable improvements are realized. The ideal candidate will possess an analytic, statistical and program background, in this role you will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring data collection and analysis.

You bring extensive experience in driving program management excellence in large scale projects. You have proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of a deadline-driven environment. You are a strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards and downwards. You are adept at defining roadmaps and programs, collecting requirements, writing and presenting detailed data driven analysis, coordinate efforts to scope, schedule, and drive programs; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of different decisions. You are a fiercely self-motivated, independent, organized individual who can juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. As a leader of leaders you will be responsible for building and coaching a highly effective team.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to

· Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and dynamically lead Operations and Program managers to define and deliver solutions to establish catalog experience standards and processes.

· Identify and analyze data to isolate issues, develop solutions and prioritize opportunities for customer experience improvements.

· Plan and manage parallel projects.

· Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.

· Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior management

· Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have Associate experience as the top focus.

Longer term, this leader will:

· Be a visible and vocal role model across the wider business for Amazon’s customer-centric culture, championing catalog quality needs and using data and technology to anticipate and exceed them.

· Ensure Catalog Quality programs effectively scale to meet the needs of the rapidly growing business, including identifying new ways to improve product catalog world wide.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience managing teams

  • 2+ years of people/team management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
