Your Career

Palo Alto Networks Prisma SDWAN group is looking for an accomplished leader to design, develop and deliver next- generation technologies within the Prisma SDWAN Controller team, specifically in the areas of networking technologies, network & security configuration and management, and the control plane architecture. You will be responsible for innovation, developing proof of concept and productizing 'new' ideas by implementing them and collaborating with team members.

Your Impact

  • Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building. Ideally combined background of various cloud and Hardware product development lifecycle

  • Push engineering boundaries, coming up with high quality, simple solutions to complex engineering and product problems, while continuously growing your skillset to induce increased innovation within the team over time

  • Maintain and cultivate high quality in terms of engineering practices, code quality, and work/foster a culture of engineering excellence, and dynamic execution.

  • Strong ownership mindset while owing the execution of complex engineering challenges including their architecture, their timelines, while collaborating with stakeholders

  • Champion engineering excellence, establish business metrics and drive continuous operational improvement

  • Enthusiastic with the ability to inspire others

  • Responsible for development of Prisma SD-WAN Controller Solutions deployed over Cloud Platforms, and On Premise environments

  • Development of features and architecture for Prisma SD-WAN Controller in the areas of Network Configurations, Data Analytics & Insights

  • Develop scalable software solutions for a distributed services architecture spanning across cloud platforms

  • Work with multi-functional team members on feature requirements, including but not limited to Product Management, QA, Support, etc

  • Take ownership and independently drive, lead tasks and assignments

Your Experience

  • 10+ years experience in software development

  • Minimum 2+ years of team management experience

  • Strong technical knowledge in computer architecture and systems engineering

  • Strong experience in Java programming and Large Scale Distributed systems with service oriented architecture on Cloud Platforms

  • Strong experience in distributed computing architecture,SQL and/or NoSQL databases, messaging services

  • Experience in developing containerized applications in distributed environments such as kubernetes

  • Good exposure and experience with REST API definition and implementation

  • Experience in design and development of data analytics workloads, dashboards and reports

  • Can-do attitude and ability to take initiative and drive open issues to completion

  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with multi-functional groups.

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
