Job Title: Lead Architect I – IT Global Infrastructure Systems & Data Center Engineering

Summary:In this role, candidate will be responsible for assessing our IT data center infrastructure to help architect, plan, deploy, and support cloud migrations across multiple technologies. Candidate will also oversee the migration process and design, maintain, and monitor the newly created environment, as well as configure connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment. This role will be responsible for cloud and on-premises/data center architecture and deployments, administration, and support as well documenting solutions and providing knowledge transfer and upskilling team members.

Responsibilities Include:

• Architecting Microsoft secure Azure Solutions across multiple technologies such as Microsoft, MS SQL, SAP, Custom apps, etc.

• Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Azure administration, as well as VMware, vSphere, MS Directory. This includes assessing on-premises solutions, setting up networking and landing zones, automating the provisioning and deprovisioning of Azure resources, and architecting modern applications.

• Technical Implementation and Delivery of Microsoft Azure projects.

• Providing Microsoft Azure architecture collaboration with other concerned teams.

• Managing cloud billing and costs, especially before and after migration phases.

• Documentation of solutions (e.g. architecture, configuration, and setup).

• Providing effective knowledge transfer and upskilling to team members to ensure an appropriate level of future self-sufficiency.

• Assessing on-premises solutions and migrating them to the cloud.

• Automating the provisioning and deprovisioning of Azure resources using infrastructure as code and configuration management tools.

• Architecting modern applications using cloud-native technologies and design patterns.

• Manage and administer the MS Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.

• Migration existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.

• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions with MS Azure.

• Analyze existing operations standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements and best practices.

• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.

• Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.

• Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.

• Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.

• Participate, address and resolve technical escalations that arise (including outside of business hours)

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

• 10+ years of data center and cloud experience.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, networking, and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.

• Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products such as Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, Azure AD Proxy, SAML, and Active Directory Domain Services.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of PowerShell, Source Control, ARM templates, JSON, Bash, and deployment automation.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service products such as Azure SQL, WebApps, AppServices, Azure App Service Fabric, App Service Environment, and Logic apps.

• Experience with deployment orchestration and configuration management tools (Azure DevOps).

• Expertise with Office 365 products such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online.

• Knowledge of Windows/Linux/VMware environments. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to VMware, ESXi, vSphere. Perform vMotion, VMware virtual center and SSO configurations. Conduct root cause analysis and address underlying issues.

• Possess exceptional knowledge of x86 servers from vendors like Dell and Cisco. Proficiency in Windows server administration and troubleshooting.

• Display advanced working knowledge of storage technologies such as RAIDs, Fiber Channel, and iSCSI.

• Expertise with Endpoint Management & Security products such as Intune, Azure Rights Management, and Cloud App Security.

• Demonstrate TCP/IP knowledge with a solid foundation in LAN technologies, network switching, routing and DNS.

• Display a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communications and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team.

• Possess excellent English verbal & written communication skills, with an ability to present and communicate to business users as well as at the executive levels.

• Direct experience of enterprise solution shaping and Microsoft Azure Cloud deployment architecture development, including excellent documentation skills.

• Experienced in the design and delivery of enterprise-level Highly Available and Secure solutions.
