Advanced Manufacturing Engineer: Lead Engineer

Key responsibilities for this position:

· Conduct research on emerging technologies and methodologies related to Industry 4.0/5.0.

· Develop Factory Simulations of manufacturing processes, including material flow, production lines, resource utilization, and logistics, using industry-standard simulation software

· Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost savings, through process optimization and technology insertion.

· Collaborate with a global multidisciplinary team to design and develop innovative solutions for manufacturing.

· Communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage project risks, and support technology roadmaps

Essential Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in factory or process simulation (Siemens Tecnomatix, FlexSim etc.), manufacturing process optimization, or a similar role

· Practical Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Factory modelling, Cost modelling and/or Process flow optimization

· Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and trends including connectivity, data collection and analytics, IIoT, systems integration.

· Experience in automating and optimizing manufacturing processes.

· Proficiency in mechanical manufacturing processes, materials science and engineering

· Experience in designing experiments and conducting rigorous testing.

· Self-Driven, experience in working on R&D projects

· Strong presentation skills for effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences

Desirable Requirements

· Experience with factory Modelling & Simulation Software (Siemens Tecnomatix, FlexSim, Arena, Plant Simulation/3DEXPERIENCE, Autodesk Process Analysis, etc.)

· Familiarity with digital twins and their application in manufacturing

· Experience with PLCs, sensors and data acquisition systems.

· Experience with RTLS systems (RFID, UWB, BLE, etc.)

· Experience with industrial robots, AMRs and AGVs.

· Experience with 3D Factory Scanning (Lidar, Photogrammetry, etc.) & Data Processing

· Familiarity with technology scouting and innovation methodologies

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies

· Proven leadership skills and experience in leading cross-functional teams.

· Proficiency in creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation
