The Role

As an Application/Software Architect, you'll be responsible for designing cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products that will set the standard for the industry. You'll use your extensive technical knowledge to conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, while also identifying and resolving any framework design weaknesses.

You’ll use your technical expertise to provide technical leadership to the application development team, perform design and code reviews, and ensure that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained. You'll also collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is aligned with business requirements, making sure that the project meets its goals.

Your expertise in designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware, and infrastructure, will be put to use as you create and maintain documentation surrounding the software architecture, application design processes, component integration, testing guidelines, and other key elements.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 9+ Years of experience in Design, implement, and manage storage systems to meet organizational storage requirements.

  • Perform routine system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Configure and optimize storage resources based on workload and capacity requirements.

  • Implement and manage data protection and backup solutions using NetApp and ISILON technologies.

  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

  • Perform regular testing of backup and recovery processes to validate their effectiveness.

  • Monitor storage usage trends and perform capacity planning to ensure sufficient storage resources.

  • Recommend and implement changes to storage configurations to accommodate growth and changing business needs.

  • Implement security best practices for NetApp storage systems.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data protection standards.

  • Collaborate with the security team to address storage-related security vulnerabilities.

  • Work closely with IT teams, including network and server administrators, to ensure seamless integration and performance.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Respond promptly to storage-related incidents and outages.

  • Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues, escalating as needed.

  • Expertise in storage and monitoring tool upgrades.

  • Configure and manage appropriate storage alerts.

  • Expertise in scripting and knowledge of Ansible.

  • Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and coordinate with teams to remediate outcomes.

  • Expertise in File, Block, and Object protocols.

  • Proficiency in platforms like Windows, AIX, Linux, and multipath management software.

  • Expertise in SAN switches (Brocade/Cisco).

  • Expertise in deduplication, compression, and compaction techniques.

  • Install certificates on storage devices.

  • Expertise in heterogeneous storage tools, alerting, and monitoring.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Good scripting knowledge (Perl and Shell).

  • Open to working stretched shifts, 24x7 rotations, odd hours, and weekends as per work requirements.

  • Strong technical support skills for troubleshooting and implementing global infrastructure solutions.

  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for backup server issues as required.
