The Field Applications Specialist – Cell Therapy, Upstream or Downstream for Cytiva is responsible for supporting the Customer, Account Manager, Product Specialist, and core commercial team. Provides deep scientific knowledge in the customer context, including tests and demos to prove competitive advantage.

This position is part of the Genomic Medicine OpCo located in India, APAC and will fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborates with Account Managers, and Sales Specialists within their territory based on customer demand for scientific application. Responsible for providing pre and post-sale support, product demonstrations, seminars, training and supporting territory sales objectives.

  • Applies highest level of scientific and technical product knowledge in modality, including solution impact, capabilities and functions within context of Cytiva customers.

  • Supports customers with in-depth technical support, remotely, in person or in the lab. Conducting demos or experiments for or with the customer. Following up on samples with technical advice and/or experimental support.

  • Responsible for regional customer training, developing application driven training courses and demonstrations, at customer sites and high-level scientific meetings.

  • Identify potential opportunities of scalability of an application, identify products and services that will provide significant cost savings and productivity gains for the customer, and persuasively educates and articulates the benefits to the customer.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Cross selling, upselling, value positions and funnel management.

  • Comprehensive Cell Therapy, Viral Vector or nucleic acid process (upstream/downstream) expertise.

  • Understanding of customers’ key business drivers.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biotechnology, life sciences or relevant field. Preferably in cell biology, biochemistry, and immunology

  • 5 years of applications experience must be from Biotechnology industry.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Systems and Tools: QlikSense or Sales Force
