BlackBox Director of Operations - Products Division (APAC Region) in Bangalore, India
Job Responsibilities:
Align, synchronize and manage Global Operational processes with cross-functional team members in India and around the world, many of whom are in different time zones.
Manage on-boarding and on-going Operations with India-based Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and other electronic product suppliers.
Provide in-country support in activities initated by the Sales and Sales Operations teams.
Negotiates contractual agreements related to the set-up of electronics manufacturing in India, utilizing EMS and CMs, in partnership with local suppliers.
Identify, Engage and Negotiate with new Supplier, EMS and CMs.
Coordinate with Global Procurement team.
Coordinate with Global Quality team.
Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
Drive cost-out initiatives within India supply-base.
Serve as an escalation point for issues regarding product or service delivery.
Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Excellent organizational, project management, and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills
Knowledge of India industry legal rules and guidelines
In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, etc.)
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
Familiarity with MS Office and SAP (S4/Hana)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems.
Qualifications:
Degree in business administration or electronics engineering. Advanced degree will be a plus
Minimum 5 years experience managing Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and other electronic product suppliers.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or similar credential) strongly desired.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Will directly and indirectly lead other team members within the Operations department.
