Amazon Business Analyst II, BA II - Retail Brand Experience in Bangalore, India

Amazon Retail Brand Experience (RBX) team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and help implement intelligent and personalized product insights for our customers. The candidate will thrive in a highly ambiguous space, be self-driven and will be able to operate with minimal support. S/he will be passionate about understanding the full life cycle of a product from its initial idea to getting launched on Amazon. This role requires an individual with a mix of excellent analytical abilities and outstanding business acumen. The candidate will be able to work backwards from loosely defined ambiguous requirements and develop quick proof of concepts/prototypes to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop backend datasets (ETL pipelines) for implementing the product insights and partner with Engineers and PMs for launch the solutions via preferred delivery mechanisms (e.g. offline HTML/excel reports , online launch on centralized portal)

  • Identify repeatable processes/tasks and convert them into self-serve offerings via automation

  • Support the PMs and the Research Analysts in the team for all large scale data requirements and providing them in an actionable format to run pilots, launch features and enable effective decision making

  • Develop and manage partnerships with data engineering to on-board and maintain tables, drive infrastructure issues to closure and implement best practices around data analytics

  • Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources (e.g. redshift, datanet, cradle, glue, EC2, S3, etc.) and know to guide the team towards the latest and greatest tools and techniques.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
