Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Team Lead, Services Asset Lifecyle is a developing management role, responsible for supporting with the planning and management of stock inventory in line with the requirements of the regional/divisional business and its clients and in so doing plan global spares holding.

This developing people management role isa responsible for managing Spares Analysts and/or Administrators within the team, whilst fostering a collaborative an innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advises on the global spares planning strategy at a team level.

  • Helps to develop best practice methodologies and systems to enhance the management of spares.

  • Enables the team on relevant tools and methodology required to perform their roles.

  • Helps to ensure that a high level of operational quality is maintained within the team.

  • Responsible for getting maximum discounts on stock orders and manages the distribution of landed orders.

  • Assists with stock planning at a global/regional/divisional level.

  • Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.

  • Ensures immediate team has the required tools and materials to deliver against functional/team goals and objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Solid understanding of information technology industry.

  • Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Solid negotiation skills and is assertive in approach.

  • Passion to stay abreast of best practice methodologies within their area of expertise.

  • Highly organized with the developing ability to manage a team to successfully achieve their functional/team goals and objectives.

  • Willing and able to drive development and optimization of systems for spares planning and automation of the operation as far as possible.

  • Logical thinker and problem solver.

  • Systematic in approach and structured in thinking and working.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to facilitate team discussions to drive towards solutions.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field such as Procurement / Purchasing / Supply Chain / Logistics or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Solid relevant work experience in procurement/supply chain/inventory management, preferably gained within a global IT services organization.

  • Solid relevant work experience in Spares and Logistics Management.

  • Solid relevant work experience gained within a technology services environment.

  • Solid relevant experience in leading and managing a team.
