Key role responsibilities

  • Takes the lead role in developing and managing strong supplier relationships. Manages our supply base with the involvement and support of all required functions. Encourages active participation of supply management in all relevant activities, including product development, sales, planning, manufacturing, delivery, and after-sales support

  • Implements and executes business processes that deliver against indirect spend cost and volume targets

  • To monitor supplier capabilities, relationship management -> find/ establish key contact persons.

  • To ensure best material productivity, Cost Control in ERP, RFQ for all cc and suppliers.

  • To ensure support in controlling with annual standard price process.

  • To improve/ maintain supply chain quality, and service, evaluating and approving supplier systems by utilizing the TCO model and Supplier Scorecards.

  • To ensure approval of orders according to DOA.

  • To ensure standard products: within lead time, otherwise on special demand according to escalation process.

  • To support in escalation phase or in chronic/ongoing problems with suppliers.

  • To discuss OTD (on time delivery) and service level results during meetings with supplier.

  • To work closely with engineering, project management and product management and support any new product requirements.

  • To ensure extending of lean principles into our supply chain and coordinate - perform SLD events.

  • To ensure negotiation and development of contracts.

  • To ensure initiating supplier transition.

  • To ensure execute supplier assessments.

  • To initiate, coordinate and perform supplier audits.

  • To support by pricing differences.

  • To ensure checking of invoices once prices differ from agreed pricing levels.

  • To start set up in ERP system and support onboarding process.

  • To initiate, coordinate and carry out supplier visits/ meetings.

  • To monitor supplier and environmental risks to avoid failed deliveries, bad quality and to improve products and services.

  • To coordinate / carry out initial sampling (EX report) for new products and support for other sampling issues

  • To establish files/ templates and maintain Supply documentation (vendor sheets, product history, metal contracts)

  • To perform Make or Buy-Analysis

  • To execute sourcing decisions (e.g. direct & Indirect buying)

  • Lead, develop and empower supply team members. Create a culture that fosters continuous learning and individual growth

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic planning process for key commodities and suppliers that is integrated with the overall business objectives

  • Select suppliers and negotiate agreements, based on a global search. Supply agreements may range from tactical commodity pricing agreements to more complicated, long-term strategic relationships

  • Will support Global Strategic sourcing team

Education

University Graduate – Engineering (Mechanical)

OR Diploma in Mechanical

Experience

10 to 12 Years’ experience
