About the Role

As an experienced Architect- Inverter Hardware, you will be involved in the development of. As an important part of the hardware development team, you will design and analyse inverters in traction drives

Your Responsibilities

• Inverter architectural strategy

• Detailed Inverter Hardware design and development

• Evaluate and describe system architecture and detailed end customer equipment requirements, both in terms of HW components selection like Si-MOSFETs, GaN, gate drivers ICs, sensors, as well as for MCU and FW/SW requirements

• Design and selection of core components (e.g. DC Link capacitor, Power module(Si, SiC, GaN), EMI filters, DC Busbars etc…) for Inverter hardware and optimization of designs in terms of performance, efficiency and costs

• Develop and contribute with your technical expertise to the Application Roadmap (evolution of the application)

• Motor Control strategy(V/F, FOC etc.,) and PWM switching profile for Inverters

• Hands on Simulation/Tools e.g. MATLAB, LTSpice, Ansys tools etc.

• Thermal analysis, junction temperature calculation of Inverter power module for drive profile

• Know how the latest technological development of Inverter. Drive innovative system architectures and define functional blocks for motor drives.

• Close cooperation with the electronics, design, HW test team

• Support selection of the single system components and their integration into overall Hardware

• Manages communication and alignment with all affected stakeholders

Who we are looking for

• Masters or PhD in Power Electronics or equivalent from reputed university/institution

• 10+ years of experience in the development of power electronics, in-depth knowledge of possible inverter topologies, semiconductor technologies, gate drivers, DC link capacitors etc.

• Very good expertise in electromagnetic compatibility / EMC-compliant design

• Knowledge in the field of functional safety (ISO 26262)

• Functional understanding of complex systems consisting of mechanics, electronics and software

• Experience with Altium Designer, LTSpice, Mathcad, Matlab is a plus

• Experience in the automotive sector desirable

• Conscientious, precise and independent way of working

• Very good written and spoken English skills

• Mentoring and coaching to team members

• Team building and management

• Customer requirement gathering and creating RFQs
