Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector Antenna Test Engineering organization is seeking Staff Antenna Test Engineers / Integrated Product Team (IPT) (“Project Lead”) to be an instrumental part of Northrop Grumman's Test Engineering Team. This position will be out in Baltimore, MD.
What You'll Get To Do:
This individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering teams, typically greater than 5 engineers, across multiple projects related to antenna test equipment and antenna test facility projects. Projects are a mix of RF, electrical, and mechanical test equipment. Role will have project execution, schedule and financial responsibilities across 5-10 projects with varying degrees of complexity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of test equipment projects
Develop project execution plans and lead teams through weekly assignments
Develop and maintain project schedules
Develop, maintain and report project financial status
Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing
Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements
Brief internal leadership on progress of work assigned
Perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field (EE Degree preferred) and a minimum of 12 years related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM related field and a minimum of 10 years related experience.
Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
U.S. citizenship
Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Engineering leadership experience in a team environment
Experience in development engineering systems/products
Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing or Test process
Fluency with developing and executing project schedules
Fluency with maintaining complex financial project budgets
Salary Range: $163,200 - $244,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
