M&T Bank Specialty Finance Senior Administrative Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland

Overview:

Provides high level, more complex administrative support to Line of Business (LOB) managers for the Corporate & Institutional Banking, Fund Banking/Leveraged Finance and Franchise Banking groups.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between LOB managers and bank personnel, responding to questions and issues on departmental matters.

  • Schedules and coordinates events (group on sites, industry conferences and conventions) and interdepartmental meetings which may include travel, meals, and facility coordination as well as lodging arrangements.

  • Assists LOB managers in maintaining regional connectivity across the footprint to ensure participation in relevant local events or opportunities for clients to have access to bank sponsored activities (sports events, concerts, Wilmington Trust economic speakers, etc)

  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees including coordination of office location, ordering of equipment and establishment of rights/permissions for user profile. Likewise, assist in the gathering of equipment and coordination of removal from bank systems for employees leaving the bank.

  • Owner of business continuity plans for the groups. Responsible for the annual updating and testing of the plans.

  • Perform high level administrative / project assignments, relieving management of many day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth functioning of department.

  • Prepare and arrange business presentations, management letters, and other communications to include agendas, meeting minutes.

  • Research information, compiles data, gathers and summarizes data to prepare complex, quarterly business reports as well as annual business strategy reports.

  • Submits invoices for payment for subscriptions and services

  • Supports LOB managers and office-based teams with supply needs

  • Notify the team of issues that may impact business relations as an active member of the department, provide input into improving processes and building engagement.

  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Associate's degree or equivalent in experience

4 years progressive secretarial/administrative support experience with demonstrated development of skills on-the-job with prior banking administrative support experience preferred.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $20.43 - $34.05 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
