Yorktel is currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert - Team Lead for Production who is responsible for providing overall management in the operations of three IVT studios and control rooms, one VOD suite, post-production, graphics, and multimedia support for the client. This includes day-to-day supervision of all Contractor staff assigned to this contract.Duties and responsibilities:As the Team Lead, they will be responsible for creating and communicating annual performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, approve time off requests, authorize weekly timesheets, and provide other reports to customer or to Yorktel management as needed.Have prolific knowledge of the processes needed for completion of audio/video productionsManage Studio Technicians, Video and Media Editors, and Graphic Artists on the contracted staffAdvise the client Task Manager or designee on hardware and software upgrades or modifications to further enhance the IVT/VOD systemsManage and monitor daily staff activitiesLead interviews, backfill all vacated positionsEnsure 508 compliance in products supplied by the contracted staff, andEnsure all deliverables meet deadlines.Specific Duties: Manages the overall operations of the contractor’s staff of Studio Technicians and Video Editors, and Broadcast Graphic Designers. The Subject Matter Expert- Team Lead for Production must specifically:Support project and client program objectivesEstablish work breakdown structure, resource requirements, and schedulesImplement project plans and monitor progressEstablish, monitor, and maintain procedures to ensure smooth and seamless pre-production, production, and post-production operationBe fully responsive to customer needs within guidelines created by OSLWDManage and maintain work schedules of Contractor staff for proper mix and utilization of Contractor employees to ensure priorities are met and that all studios are fully covered during tapings, broadcasts, and rehearsalsSchedule and assign work for Contractor personnel, monitor work progress and production qualityEnsure product delivery is on scheduleWork with client Studio Manager to ensure proper functioning of Studio and Teleworking Production equipmentEnsure all remote productions meet technical standardsAssist in productions when needed Ensure all staff receives training necessary for them to achieve broadcast industry standards in productionsReplace staff whose performance is not within the terms and conditions of this contractEnsure new hires or replacement staff are trained properly on all aspects of IVT/VOD and multi- media operationsDevelop and update studio operations proceduresIdentify and report problems in existing systems and equipment to the Broadcast engineer as soon as it occursMake recommendations for audio and video equipment, hardware and software upgrades and enhancements, as appropriateAdvise client of new products or technology, which could improve studio operationsManage and properly operate Adobe Connect, client’s viewer response system, used for student interaction and for communicating to and from remote downlink sites with the broadcast facilityProvide technical and production support to client instructors, producers, course managers and any other stakeholder involved in the training program during scheduled pre-production meetings, scope agreement meetings, rehearsals, broadcasts, and other OSLWD projectsCoordinate training of all hardware and software in a broadcast studio/control room/editing suite environment such as non-linear editing and eLearning authoring tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Articulate StorylineProvide tours of the client headquarters studios, control rooms, VOD suites and post-production suitesFollow up on equipment trouble reportsProvide multi-media support to OSLWD as neededProvide weekly reports on the status of productions, projects, from all contractors to the Task Manager or designeeProvide weekly reports on outstanding trouble tickets to the Task Manager that have not been resolved for equipment in the studio and the control rooms. Including but not limited to any facilities related conditionsProlific knowledge of streaming audio and video, file types and formats, and experience with online eLearning softwarePresent material at Content Creator MeetingsPresent project status and personnel updates to client management team in weekly meetingsProvide Task Manager with administrative information, e.g., hours worked, vacation schedules, progress on hiring replacement contractors, etc.Leadership and Supervisory Responsibilities:The staff or team members vary in number, roles they fulfill, and talent levels. It is the Team Lead's responsibility to assure that excellent service is provided by the team to the customer as well as assuring that there is growth occurring from each team member.Required Skills and Abilities:This individual is many times the face and the voice to the customer so they need to provide excellent customer service while being a strong communicator to the Program Manager, the COR, and others such as Yorktel upper management and Contracts Department.Education and Experience:10+ Years of experience in similar rolePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.Join us and you will enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package, including 401k and Flex 125 plans.
