Role: Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior MQ Systems Administrator to support our Federal Client, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in enhancing security and efficiency in their IT systems and meeting their overall mission to provide efficient, cost effective and reliable computing services for all IRS business entities and taxpayers. Responsibilities: Supports all phases of the modernized infrastructure’s lifecycle, including planning, implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning. Ensures smooth transitions from development to operational status, focusing on stability and performance. Configures and integrates various software components, ensuring they work together seamlessly. Customizes MQ Series and other infrastructure components to meet specific requirements of the IRS. Works on custom-developed applications and interfaces related to AMDAS. Ensures that all environments are configured according to IRS standards and policies. Oversees the setup and maintenance of systems, ensuring they adhere to required configurations. Develops and creates installation packages and scripts for deployment and configuration. Assists with regression testing to ensure that the latest changes do not adversely affect existing systems. Provides after-hours support as needed to address critical issues. Offers support for ongoing projects and production environments. Addresses trouble tickets and manage issues as they arise. Performs root cause analysis and support problem management efforts. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Four (4) years of experience working with MQ IT technologies. Experience with AMDAS/MQ Application Configurations and Customizations of MQ Series messaging products. Experience with WebSphere MQ 7.x Server/Client for Windows/Solaris MQ Services Messaging. Experience with WebSphere MQ for Z/OS V7.x MQ Services Messaging. Willingness to provide after-hours support as needed, such as: Ad hoc after-hours operational support to meet business needs. Production Project Support. KISAM trouble ticket Support. Problem Management (PM)/Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Support. Clearance: Active IRS MBI (Minimum Background Investigation) Clearance is required. Preferred/Nice to Have Skills: Advanced MQ Skills: MQ Series Advanced Features: Experience with advanced MQ features and configurations. Performance Tuning: Skills in performance tuning and optimization of MQ environments. Additional Tools and Technologies: Other Messaging Systems: Familiarity with other messaging systems or enterprise service buses (ESBs). Linux/Unix Expertise: Experience with Linux/Unix systems, which can complement your MQ administration skills. Certifications and Training: MQ Certifications: Relevant certifications for MQ products (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator for MQ).
