Position Description:

As a Senior Business Enterprise Architect at CGI Federal, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing strategic business and technology architectures to support our government clients’ long-term objectives. You will lead discussions with business leaders to identify and prioritize enterprise-level business capabilities, develop comprehensive inventories of business capabilities, data, processes, and technologies, and refine the enterprise business capability model to align with strategic goals.

Selected candidates must reside within two (2) hours of Woodlawn, MD. Selected candidates must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Technology and Business Management Support Services:

  • Develop and maintain inventories of business capabilities, data, processes, and technologies.

  • Provide independent assessments and support for establishing technology policies.

  • Offer architectural direction to achieve technology best value.

  • Refine the enterprise business capability model to support long-term strategic objectives.

  • Deliver key artifacts including Enterprise Capability Models, Capability Heatmaps, and Capability Roadmaps.

  • Advocate for best practices in business architecture and drive standardization across the organization.

  • Provide strategic insights and guidance on the scope of strategic initiatives.

  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing enterprise-level business capabilities.

• Resource Management:

  • Coordinate resources and program/project management activities among multiple governmental and private sector stakeholder groups.

  • Assist in managing, coordinating, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure program or system success.

  • Lead discussions with business leaders to identify and prioritize enterprise-level business capabilities.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document the organization's enterprise-wide business and technology landscape.

• Performance Management:

  • Improve the performance of client programs by selecting, planning, and transitioning to new, updated, or modified supporting technologies and systems.

  • Align current and future technologies with business capabilities in partnership with solution architects.

  • Assess and prioritize proposed enterprise capabilities to optimize investments.

  • Utilize industry and government best practices in: Product, program, and/or program management tools; Collaboration tools; Information management systems to enhance entity analytics with business intelligence using current enterprise-wide solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technology planning, enterprise architecture, or related roles.

• Strong technical background with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.

• Strong knowledge of strategic thinking, system design architecture, and conducting gap analysis.

• Proficiency in utilizing BPMN to create clear and visual representations of business processes.

• Ability to lead initiatives, influence change and drive consensus at all levels of the organization.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and collaboration skills.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Familiarity with Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF, FEAF, DODAF) and IT Governance.

• Experience in government technology planning or consulting.

• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $96,500.00 - $213,800.00.
