Overview
The Psychology Associate I, Research will conduct neuropsychological testing in the context of rehabilitation research, with a focus on pediatric brain injury, under the direction of the faculty within the Brain Injury Clinical Research Center and Pediatrics. This position may involve working withSpanish-speaking populations, and as such appropriate Spanish language skills at a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards is preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform neuropsychological, behavioral, educational, developmental, or other forms of testing as required with research participants.
Conduct research interviews and screen subjects for participation in various research studies.
Maintain and manage research databases of study participants. Ensure the accuracy of data collection and entry, and adherence to established research guidelines.
Coordinate Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and maintain regulatory documents for IRB compliance for various research projects.
Assist with carrying out research protocols, including recruitment, consent, scheduling, and coordination of virtual and/or in person research visits.
Assist with analysis of neuroimaging, behavioral, and physiological data.
Participate in the development of grant proposals and manuscripts, including, but not limited to, conducting literature searches, performing data analyses, and assisting in writing manuscripts and grants.
Schedule and participate in research meetings.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists approval to practice as “Registered Psychology Associate” or qualify for Psychology Associate registration required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institute’s minimum standards preferred.
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from a program accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or a Master’s degree in education with a specialization in psychology or counseling psychology from a program accredited by CHEA is required.
EXPERIENCE:
1 year of psychological testing experience preferred.
Professional experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
