Actalent Project Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland

Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of a project from the initial kick-off meeting through to start-up and commissioning. You will act as the primary point of contact, managing client expectations and communicating with customers and sales to ensure the desired outcome. Your role includes managing project personnel, analyzing the project scope, identifying risks, and making necessary adjustments to guarantee successful project completion. You will also be involved in application and design engineering of fertilizer equipment, preparing and maintaining project schedules and documents, and providing guidance to both in-house team members and third-party contractors. Additionally, you will contribute to new product development and assist in creating equipment design standards.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred

  • Experience with bulk solids handling (conveyors, bucket elevators, etc.)

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to manage client expectations

  • Leadership and team management

  • Risk analysis and problem-solving

  • Adaptability and efficiency in handling field issues

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Baltimore, Maryland.

Work Environment

The role is based primarily in an office at our Maryland facility, with necessary travel to project sites for system commissioning. Site visits can last several days to a week, and occasionally longer. Travel includes domestic locations and, in rare cases, Central or South America and other parts of the world. You will be working under the general supervision of the Director of Project Management, within a team of 5-6 other professionals.
