JOB TITLE: Managing Therapist

LOCATION: Prince George's and Montgomery County, MD

REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Clinical Services

COMPENSATION: $65K - $68K

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

[The Managing Therapist is responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities of Clinical Services for both Prince George's and Montgomery Counties. This includes supervision of staff and interns, serving as the liaison to other HRM departments, and maintaining the integrity of the program in the community. The Managing Therapist is also responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to victims and survivors of intimate partner violence. The Managing Therapist facilitates and supports a team approach among staff to address the trauma, mental health and other clinical issues clients may present.

[In collaboration with the Associate Director of Clinical Services, the Managing Therapist ensures that the goals, objectives, and work effort of the staff is consistent with the mission of the House of Ruth Maryland and advances the agency and program's strategic goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:]{lang="EN"}]{lang="EN"}

Develops and implements site-specific goals, objectives, staffing plans and staff development strategies.

Provides reflective supervision to clinicians working with adults, children and families.

Provides administrative supervision to clinicians regarding performance expectations, performance evaluation, site/program priorities, quality assurance, and performance improvement intervention.

Makes recommendations for and participates in hiring and onboarding of new staff.

Provides comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments, individual trauma-based therapy and support groups for victims of intimate partner violence.

Participates in Clinical Services staff meetings, clinical group supervision and peer clinical supervision with other Clinical Managers.

Assures

service is client-focused, culturally sensitive, strengths based, and built on a foundation of sound clinical theory and trauma-informed best practices.

Identifies training opportunities, develops, and implements staff training and development plans.

Ensures Clinical staff meet professional standards of practice and State licensing requirements.

Uses Electronic records system and other methods to monitor and report on program quality, data integrity and other key performance indicators.

Trains, supervises, and provides support to clinical interns.

Complies with terms of contracts and grants, including grant project management and reporting.

Represents HRM with area service providers,

on local coalitions, committees and boards, and provides professional presentations for educational and marketing purposes.

Establishes service linkage relationships to i

ncrease the number of clients served, and to provide comprehensive services to clients.

Makes recommendations to Associate Director of Clinical Services for

service adaptation based on best practices established by research in the field.
