Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Support facility maintenance operations as part of a team. Assist in all activities and duties. Coordinate and complete preventive maintenance on equipment, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems. Helps perform general equipment maintenance, mechanical maintenance, repair, service call work involving electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems; performs incidental carpentry, masonry, painting and plasterwork. Also perform various Janitorial task around Coke Facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Executes all work in safe and professional manner by completing all work accurately and on time
Performs emergency service and repairs on electrical, mechanical and structural systems and equipment as necessary to satisfy service requests and to maintain the equipment as listed on the building equipment inventory in proper operating condition
Light electrical skills. Emergency lights, exit signs, and lamp sweeps
Performs minor HVAC preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
Assists with performing a full range of maintenance tasks including estimating material requirements
Removes snow and ice from all parking lots, walks, steps, ramps, etc., as required.
Assists with inspections and tours of the facilities, providing preventive maintenance services in accordance with a well-defined program; institutes corrective action on any deficiencies
Completes logs and performs other documentation necessary to the tasks performed
Performs minor carpentry, masonry, and metalworking repairs, installation and maintenance activities including, floors, walls, and roofs
Responds to requests for service adjustments and other trouble calls
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
Installs or assists in installing and/or replacing various types of equipment, structures and subassemblies including lubrication and cleaning
Maintain, organize, control, inventory supplies, tools and equipment
Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (Plumbing, Carpentry, Handyman experience or equivalent).
Four (4) or more year’s related experience is required.
Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Competencies:
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office and email and will possess the aptitude to be trained in computer applications.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Work Schedule: 7am-4pm

Work Environment:
Work in an environment where the following safety equipment is needed; steel toe shoes, hearing protection, noise protection, hardhat, eye protection, and hand protection. Abide by OSHA guidelines including lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines and all other Viox/Customer driven safety initiatives.
Hours of work are solely defined and governed by business volume and contract schedules.
Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of the customer and subordinates.
