Position: Dock Check-In Clerk
Job Description:
Forward Intermodal is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Dock Check-In Clerks are responsible for providing clear and concise administrative support for the warehouse.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Completing truck check in and Export procedure on iPhone app
Thoroughly go through all paperwork with each driver at check in
Assign dock doors in correspondence with freight location
Verify Accuracy of Exports received
Supply forklift operators with necessary documents for loading
Keep dock area clean and organized
Profit tools look up, search, and scanning
Provide direction to all drivers as where to place orders that are brought back
Excellent attention to detail required
Act in a professional and an appropriate manner
Help with office related functions including phone calls, filing, scanning, and email
Schedule flexibility: ability to work overtime
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, post high school education a plus
Position requires indoor and outdoor duties
Prior customer service experience preferred
Excellent keyboarding skills, must have a strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft office
Ability to multi-task must be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced office environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
Must be 18 or older
