The Foundation and Ground Improvement Division of Michels Construction, Inc. is a rapidly growing provider of geotechnical construction solutions across North America. The Project Engineer position based in Baltimore, MD offers the highly qualified civil engineer an opportunity to learn first-hand the complex world of ground improvement, deep foundations and earth retention. Michels is an excellent fit for a civil engineer who desires to work in construction with a balance of geotechnical design and project management. Project engineers are encouraged to pursue their Professional Engineering license while growing and developing their careers.
The anticipated salary range is: $70,000 ‐ $105,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, 0 to 6 years of relevant experience, and a strong interest in geotechnical construction is required
Master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus in geotechnical or structural engineering is preferred
Must possess a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
Extensive travel is required for six months up to two years (depending on experience)
