Clean Harbors Facility Equipment Operator and Yard Driver in Baltimore, Maryland

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Equipment Operator and Yard Driver for their Baltimore, MD facility. As a Facility Equipment Operator/Yard Driver, you will be responsible for operating bulldozers and driving yard goats to move semis around the facility. In addition to these duties the person should have the ability to help on the dock, operating forklifts and helping with any other tasks needed.

Pay: $23 an HR+ $1.75 for Shift Diff; Shift Diff will not begin until training is completed on day shift.

Schedule: Training for first couple of weeks on day shift. Once trained: Monday- Friday- 2 nd shift. 2pm-10pm or 3pm-11pm- schedule may change by a few hours either way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Operates one of the following: bulldozer and forklifts;

  • Moving semis around the facility;

  • Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated;

  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements;

  • During down times helping on the dock and doing other tasks as needed.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required;

  • CDL not required but is a plus;

  • 1+ years’ experience operating bulldozer;

  • 6+ months operating yard goats or backing semis;

  • Ability to operate forklifts and perform manual labor;

  • Ability to use a laptop and knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook) as well as willing to learn Clean Harbors programs;

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions required.
