This Electronics Engineer/ Principal Electronics Engineer position requires a blend of Hardware and Software skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems. NGMS is seeking an Electronics Engineer with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative team to help develop, enhance and maintain system level test sets. In this role, the candidate will interface with subsystem test engineers, technicians, systems administrators, program managers, security team, and vendors in order to provide support for various test set tasks as required. Position focuses on the full design cycle of a system bench, from conception through design to fabrication and integration/test. Position may require some travel. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD.

Hardware checkout/troubleshooting/system integration
Root cause determination, problem resolution and documentation
Basic Qualifications Electrical Engineer:
Bachelors degree in STEM with 2 years’ experience or a Masters degree in STEM with 0 years’ experience. An additional 4 years' experience is lieu of experience is acceptable.
The ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams
Mix of hardware and software skills
Experience with Electrical designs such as integrated (analog, power, digital) panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts.
Work effectively in a team environment
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Work independently with minimal oversight
Ability to obtain secret clearance
Basic Qualifications Principal Electrical Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years’ experience or a Masters degree in STEM with 3 years’ experience or a Ph.D. degree in STEM with 0 years’ experience. An additional 4 years' experience is lieu of experience is acceptable.
Experience with Electrical designs such as integrated (analog, power, digital), panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts.
Work effectively in a team environment
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Work independently
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline
Experience with electrical design tools such as Zuken, AutoCAD, PSpice, etc.
Experience with hands-on troubleshooting with electrical hardware
Experience with Programmable Automation Controllers
Experience with using standard test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, pattern generators, and spectrum analyzers
Active or Current Secret Clearance or higher is preferred
Salary Range: $85,400 - $128,000
Salary Range 2: $105,400 - $158,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
