Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Architect within our Transformation Office to lead architecture efforts in support of our Investments division. This role is pivotal in defining, optimizing, and shaping the future of our investment capabilities, ensuring alignment between strategic priorities and operational execution.

As a trusted partner, the Business Architect will collaborate with senior leaders and delivery teams to provide actionable insights, foster alignment, and drive meaningful business outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Process Analysis, with a proven ability to lead complex transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to define and optimize business capabilities, ensuring alignment with current and future strategic priorities.

  • Manage and enhance business capability inventories, maturity frameworks, and heatmaps to identify gaps, opportunities, and dependencies within the Investments domain.

  • Apply structured business architecture methodologies to capture critical views of the enterprise (i.e., model processes, map value streams, and execute capability-led strategies).

  • Deliver analytics and insights to inform strategic decision-making, ensuring capability roadmaps drive business outcomes and align with enterprise goals.

  • Lead vendor selection processes by conducting rigorous evaluations and advocating for solutions that meet Investments and enterprise needs.

  • Provide leadership and guidance in strategic and tactical IT Planning, supporting governance in prioritization of initiatives and development of scalable, high-quality systems and services.

  • Collaborate with portfolio delivery teams to assess and rationalize investment priorities, develop business scenario plans, and address execution risks, dependencies, and constraints.

  • Address complex challenges with creative and actionable solutions, building consensus among diverse stakeholders for recommendations.

  • Build strong partnerships across Investments, Technology, and Data to drive strategic alignment, visibility, and value creation.

  • Champion enterprise-wide standardization in business architecture practices to enable scalability, consistency, and alignment.

  • Ensure all initiatives adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, upholding operational excellence and integrity.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 5 years of experience in business architecture, strategic planning, or related roles

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA)

  • Business architecture certifications preferred (e.g., Business Architecture Guild Certified Business Architect)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence senior executives and stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Deep understanding of the asset management domain (e.g., asset classes, services, segments, and emerging regulatory priorities)

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for full time remote work.

Base Salary Ranges

Please review the job posting for the location of this specific opportunity.

$85,000.00 - $145,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers

$93,500.00 - $159,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.

$106,000.00 - $181,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus , which is determined upon company and individual performance.
