Description We are searching for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This role is centered around planning, coordinating, and overseeing the work of an auditing division, offering a long term contract employment opportunity. The Audit Manager will supervise auditing, accounting assistants, and office support personnel, ensuring all tasks are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the auditing division's schedules and tasks.

• Guide and oversee the work of auditing, accounting assistant, and office support personnel.

• Implement accepted auditing procedures related to complex accounting systems.

• Ensure compliance with the laws and regulations pertaining to accounting.

• Utilize your knowledge of accounting and auditing practices and procedures.

• Apply your skills in governmental accounting and annual internal audit.

• Use risk-based internal auditing to identify potential issues.

• Carry out government audits to ensure transparency and accountability.

• Plan and organize the work of others to ensure efficiency.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of detail oriented experience in audit management.

• Proven expertise in government audits.

• Strong skills in risk-based internal auditing.

• Demonstrated experience in internal audit.

• Comprehensive knowledge of governmental accounting.

• Proven ability to conduct and manage annual internal audits.
