Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembly work and a keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality standards are met in our production processes.

Pay Rate

$23/hour

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assemble products.

• Use fine tools and hand tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and mechanical torque wrenches.

• Perform assembly tasks with precision, ensuring quality over quantity.

• Work at the start of the process, preparing products for the next stages of assembly.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience as an Assembler.

• Ability to read and comprehend schematics.

• Proficiency in using fine tools and hand tools.

• Ability to use power tools such as micrometers and calipers.

• Comfortable using a mechanical torque wrench.

• Ability to use hands for long periods of time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.

• Skills in soldering, wiring, and using microscopes.

• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.

Work Environment

Our facility offers a very clean and organized work environment. Employees are required to wear steel-toe boots and work pants, and dress in layers during fall and winter months. The shift is from Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm. Our work focuses on the assembly of auxiliary power converters and on-board systems for railway cars.

This is a Contract position based out of BALLSTON SPA, New York.
