We are currently looking for a Quality & Assurance Specialist to join our Balıkesir Factory team.

Location: Balıkesir

Type of contract: Permanent

Ensuring and sustaining Conformance to Specification, Regulatory Compliance at the point of manufacture. Working with Production, Engineering, Warehouse and Planning to achieve this from first production until last. Providing technical leadership as the product and consumer quality specialist to resolve internal and external Quality Defects. Leading and facilitating quality improvement initiatives by Q-Pillar and NCE tools.

As a Quality & Assurance Specialist, you will have the following responsibilities;

  • Collect, analyze and interpret in-process and analytical data to make quality evaluations.

  • Reporting analyzed data results and trends into Quality Reviews.

  • Initiate and lead where appropriate product and process improvements through the implementation and analysis of designed experiments and capability studies ensuring consumer delight.

  • Develop and implement action plans with partnership with Operations, Engineering teams to ensure that product specifications, analytical procedures, sampling programs and control systems are appropriate and meet system capability and key consumer requirements for all new products and renovations.

  • Ensuring regulatory and Nestlé compliance. Ensure conformance with applicable corporate policies and standards.

  • Participate in Good Manufacturing and Warehousing Practice inspections and provide technical expertise to help resolve problem areas.

  • Provide Training at operator level in the areas of capability, statistics, formal problem solving, quality measurement systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • Provide leadership and technical support in the implementation of Nestle Continuous Excellence, Quality Pillar and Margin Expansion opportunities.

  • Improving processes, systems and procedures. Lead, develop and implement improvement projects to facilitate as required.

  • Supporting the Focused Improvement Pillar.

  • Reduction in internal and external Defects rates.

  • Leading, developing and implementing systems where appropriate.

  • Elimination and / or reduction of Non-Value-added actions

  • Leading, developing and implementing systems where appropriate to eliminate waste

  • Provide Risk Assessment analysis.

  • Manage issues with non-conforming product to assure proper control, minimize losses and ensuring consumer expectations.

  • Undertake root cause analyses for Quality and Food Safety stock holds, disposals and consumer complaints. Implementing robust, sustainable corrective actions which will reduce or eliminate reoccurrence.

  • The Quality System Specialist is responsible for quality systems such as net weight management, traceability management, finished product release, daily sensory panel, cleaning verification, OPRP verification and implementation of quality related standards for compliance with standards. Additionally, internal NQMS and external food safety audits organizations are ensured.

  • Perform product release process according to Nestlé Quality Standards

  • Implementation of good practices coming from other factories as opportunity for improvement coordinator

  • In their specific area of expertise, assess that the Nestlé Quality Management System and Food Safety Management System is in place, and is obtaining expected results in a given operating unit.

  • Implement Integrated Pest Management system in the factory and give training to others in Factory as IPM Champion.

Which profile are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food or Chemistry Engineering

  • Excellent command of English

  • Minimum 2 years of Quality Assurance job experience

  • SAP Knowledge

  • Experience in HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, Pest Management, Net Content Management and Release.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Living in Balıkesir or willing to move to Balıkesir
