Job Title: Set up Technician

Job Description

The Setup Technician will assist in the construction and setup of office trailers. This role involves working underneath and around the walls of trailers to set them up and secure them. You will be part of a two-person team, traveling to different job sites to perform these tasks. The ideal candidate has construction experience, particularly in carpentry, and experience in tying down trailers to ensure they are level. The role requires independence and the ability to work with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction and setup of office trailers.

• Work underneath and around the walls of trailers to set them up and tie them down.

• Ensure trailers are level and properly secured.

• Travel to various job sites as part of a two-person team.

• Work independently and with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills

• Experience with trailer setup and repair.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

• Strong carpentry and construction skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Good communication skills for interacting with customers, salespeople, contractors, and colleagues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Current valid driver’s license with a clean record.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Steel toe, lace-up boots, and jeans are required; other PPE will be provided.

Work Environment

Mainly working outside, with varying temperatures depending on the season. The environment is fast-paced, working on multiple large projects lasting 30-60 days. Typical hours are 6:30am-3:00pm, with winter hours starting at 7:00am and hot summer hours starting at 6:00am. Expect to work 8 hours a day with potential overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
