Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Front Desk Coordinator within the construction and contractor industry. Located in Bakersfield, California, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact at our premises, ensuring efficient management of our front desk operations. This role involves a mix of receptionist duties and HR administration tasks, making it a perfect fit for someone who is skilled in multitasking and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Answer multiple phone lines promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate personnel or department.

• Warmly greet visitors upon their arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of our organization.

• Assist in the provision of general clerical support to the Human Resources department, contributing to the smooth running of HR operations.

• Carry out data entry tasks with high levels of accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.

• Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters, adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Manage file systems effectively, ensuring all documents are properly filed and can be retrieved quickly when needed.

• Monitor and manage the reception area, maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional environment.

• Resolve any issues or inquiries related to phone calls or visitors in a timely and professional manner.

• Support other teams with administrative tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

• Continually develop knowledge and understanding of the company's products, services, and policies to provide accurate information to callers and visitors. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role such as Front Desk Coordinator or Receptionist.

• Proven experience in performing Receptionist Duties; handling incoming calls, greeting clients, and managing correspondence.

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration; knowledge in managing staff records, scheduling shifts, and coordinating training sessions.

• Comfortable with using office equipment like fax machines, scanners, and printers.

• Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in office management is a plus.
