Dignity Health Medical Group - Bakersfield (https://www.dhmf.org/bakersfield) , is seeking an energetic and team-oriented Internal Medicine (IM) Physician to join our physician led, patient centered practices in Bakersfield, CA. We offer a variety of flexible schedules, mentorship and much more.

Flexibility and Exceptional Work/Life Balance:

  • Part Time and Full Time opportunities

  • Flexible start/end times during 7am - 7pm

  • Full Time option to work 4 or 4.5 days per week

  • No nights, no weekends

Available Resources:

  • Mentorship

  • RN Triage during after hours and weekends

  • Internal pharmacy department handling daily refills

  • Marketing representative to help build patient panel with various media resources and connecting you with the community

Compensation/Benefits Include:

  • Student loan assistance

  • Excellent earning potential supported by a salary guarantee period of $250,000/year - $280,000/year

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Provide clear and concise medical information.

  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

  • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.

Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.

  • Perform procedures as needed

  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

  • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

  • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.

  • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

  • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.

  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.

  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license

  • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)

  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program

This is also an H1B visa opportunity, requiring candidates who are cap exempt.

Pay Range

$120.00 - $135.00 /hour
