Qualifications: * Minimum five years progressively responsible clerical experience which includes two years of supervisory or program management experience OR any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and formal training. * Successfully pass employer background check. * Possession of or obtain and maintain a valid driver\'s license within 90 days of hire date. * Preference of a bachelor\'s degree in business, communications or related field. Specific knowledge or experience related to assigned department. Duties: * Manage the office of an elected official which includes providing assistance on department activities ensuring compliance to rules and regulations; assist the public by providing information requiring basic knowledge of department policy and procedure. * Assemble information and prepare agenda for Commission public meetings. Receive items for discussion, review for completeness and accuracy. Brief Commissioners and/or Executive Assistant on agenda submissions. Research and record agenda information for public dispersal with brief description on background information on items of importance. Prepare meeting notices and post in a timely manner according to statute. Attend meetings or hearings and prepare, distribute, and record minutes, contracts, orders, resolutions, and other items. * Prepare correspondence, reports, orders, resolutions, notices, press releases and other materials of an important or confidential nature often requiring research; maintain records for Commissioner appointed boards/committees; prepare documents. * Maintain County foreclosure property information; present information to the Board of Commissioners for consideration, prepare Order, advertise, and oversee the sale process including deed preparation and collection of funds. * Assist in grant preparation and monitoring; ensure grant requirements are being met. Coordinate with agency or community partner. 6. Assist public in person and by telephone; direct calls and individuals to appropriate source; answer a wide variety of questions related to departmental programs; assist public in locating and obtaining various materials, information and in completing forms, permits, licenses and applications. Interpret to public and information requiring knowledge of department policies and procedures in order to provide assistance, exchange information and solve problems. Schedule appointments and make travel arrangements for Commissioners and Executive Assistant. Maintain calendars. 8. Establish and maintain record keeping systems including materials of an important or confidential nature. * As needed, supervise assigned clerical support staff. * Additional duties as assigned.
