Assists with repairs of facilities and equipment to insure a safe and functional environment for patients, visitors and staff. Individuals may be assigned responsibilities in specific areas, and be willing to work any assigned shifts to cover department needs.

We are looking to add a Facilities Worker to our team in Baker City, Oregon.

This position will work full-time:

Tuesday-Friday 7am-5:30pm

We are looking for experience with carpentry, painting, general plumbing, and overall building maintenance.

Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with personnel or business related matters desired.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be proficient in computer programs. Must be able to problem-solve independently. Professional telephone skills needed. Requires ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple tasks as well as work without direct supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

  • Demonstrates ability to take daily readings in the boiler room, of hazardous waste pickup, change light bulbs

  • Demonstrates maintenance skills, and able to identify areas for improvement.

  • Exhibits knowledge of the role of facilities for all Environment of Care standards as well as patient/family rights

  • Demonstrates knowledge of knowledge of all the basic Utilities systems and PM program

  • Demonstrates knowledge of generator testing procedures, boiler set-up and fire alarm/sprinkler Systems.
