Position Purpose:

Under the general direction of the Director of Community Banking direct all facets of operations for a retail branch and provide leadership to Branch Team to support the bank’s strategic growth initiatives. Responsible for implementing strategies to achieve key sales and service goals through the delivery of exceptional customer service which supports the bank’s deposit, loan, and fee income goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain an understanding of all products and services offered to enable effective sales and service.

  • Design and implement a business plan integrating the activities of staff and functional partners to establish and grow market presence and meet or exceed identified production and income goals.

  • Achieve branch sales and service goals through active participation in loan originations, sales calls and referral programs and overall management of sales and service goals to branch personnel.

  • Overall responsibility to ensure operational excellence for safety and soundness of branch.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service.

  • Establish new deposit and loan business and retain existing business relationships.

  • Manage the selection, placement, performance, development, promotion, and termination of staff.

  • Coach and mentor staff to achieve personal, branch, and institution wide sales and service goals.

  • Oversees the implementation of programs for workplace learning within the branch.

  • Establish, promote, and participate in networking opportunities within the communities we serve to build brand awareness and source for business.

  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Associate degree in business, management, or a related field or the equivalent preferred.

  • Requires two (2) years of leadership experience in a financial institution, including responsibility for sales, lending, depositor activity, operations, and compliance.

  • Must be sales and goal oriented, outgoing, and professional, have managed financial and sales performance.

  • Ability to effectively lead, delegate, coach, and direct the work of others, ensuring a collaborative and cooperative working environment.

  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of regulations, policies, procedures, and systems applicable to lending and deposit products.

  • Must be self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently to make sound business decisions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively represent the organization to a variety of internal and external audiences.

  • Ability to handle pressure effectively and remain adaptable in a fast-paced, changing work environment.

  • Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work Saturday schedule as needed.

  • Valid Washington State driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

The work requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment, such as personal computers, printers, copying machines and telephones. The work requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on telephones. Work activities involve combinations of sitting/standing for extended periods.

Pay Range

  • The pay range for this position is $86,431.49 - $146,933.53

  • The typical hiring range for this position is $86,431.49 – $99,180.13

  • The incentive plan for this position is the Branch Incentive plan. It is paid out quarterly based on Branch performance.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates or better in Business Administration

  • High School or better

Experience
