Job Title:

  • Air Evaluation and Control Manager (M/F)

Scope of activity:

  • France and North-West Africa

Business trips :

  • Very frequent (between 50 and 75% of working time)

Purpose of Employment:

  • Evaluate existing and new customer businesses to improve air quality and reduce energy consumption of their equipment, while generating revenue through solution sales.

Main mission:

Between all service and sales functions, responsibilities primarily include air assessment and data recording, including quoting and prospecting and developing customer relationships. The end goal being to achieve revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share, increase customer connectivity and maintain customer loyalty, strategize for effectiveness energy and improving the performance of existing compressed air installations.

Supervise a team of 2 employees (1 engineer and 1 technician)

  • Develop their skills to maintain their employability and the competitiveness of the Company

  • Deploy management-related processes

  • Being both Coach and Leader for them

Generate opportunities for new equipment, advanced control systems, parts and services:

  • Prospect by calling on existing, drifting and new customers and cold calling

  • Operate the order management system including face-to-face interactions with customers, key contract stages

  • Work closely with the service team on active contracts and prospecting for early renewals

Customer loyalty :

  • Develop lasting service relationships with new and existing customers, including Ingersoll Rand and competitor accounts.

  • Creatively provide solutions to customer needs by aligning the offering with customer and business needs.

  • Troubleshoot customers and improve customer and service satisfaction.

  • Provide assistance as needed with service contract communications by resolving open issues.

  • Provide feedback on market conditions

Maintain your expertise and pass it on:

  • Keep your knowledge up to date and train regularly on new products.

  • Train internal sales teams and distribution network in developing a pricing strategy and sales strategy for air assessments and control systems related programs within a defined territory and/or in a location catchment area.

Manage your budget:

  • Ensure that all orders obtained are error-free.

  • Ensure contract language is consistent with business unit guidelines regarding general conditions.

  • Ensure resolution of all disputes with customers.

  • Manage all costs associated with sales efforts, including compliance with company policies regarding travel and entertainment expenses.

Contribute to the reduction of energy consumption:

  • .Engage in the evaluation of potential improvement in terms of efficiency and energy consumption of compressed air installations.

  • Being able to define energy solutions for our direct customers but also being able to train our partners to help them acquire the same level of expertise.

Comply with safety rules (vehicle safety, customer site security) in the field, as well as on all company and customer sites.

Professional experience :

  • The job requires knowledge of bac + 3/5 level in the field of air engineering

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in sales, ideally in the field of industrial products and services, is preferred

  • Knowledge of industrial sector concepts, practices and procedures

  • Knowledge of automation and control, industry 4.0 and energy concepts
