Heidelberg Materials is looking for a concrete mixer operator for its plant in Aylmer, Quebec.

What you'll have to do

Want to have a solid career? Become a Concrete Mixer Operator! It doesn't get any more concrete than that! As a concrete mixer operator, you will deliver concrete to job sites in accordance with safety guidelines and operational guidelines; check the quality and size of the concrete according to the delivery note; and maintain courteous relationships with customers.

• Deliver ready-mix concrete to the customer as soon as possible.

• Maintain the vehicle in a safe, organized, andclean condition

• Make minor roadside repairs.

• Visually inspect mixing, sagging, and check load size.

• Work with the customer to achieve optimal service.

• Work closely withdispatch to ensure the fastest and safest routes to workplaces.

• Assemble the concrete chutes and operate the chute controls during pouring.

• Adhere to all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations, including, but not limited to, wearing appropriate safety equipment and attending safety meetings, conducting pre-departure inspections, completing vehicle inspection reports, and reporting unsafe conditions and accidents.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• A valid, unrestricted Class AZ, DZ, 1 or 3 Commercial Driver's Licenseis required.

• Good command of reading, writing and mathematics.

• Minimum of one year of on-road experience driving a commercial vehicle with a multi-speed transmission.

• Good driving record.

• Valid health insurance card.

• Knowledge and experience with concrete is an asset

• Training or skills in mechanicsan asset.

• Work Availability - Be available to work six days a week (Monday to Saturday) and occasionally on Sundays. You must be able to drive a maximum of eleven hours per day and work up to 14 hours per day, according to Ministry of Transport regulations.

• Have a good track recordof attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to climb ladders.

• Ability to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 60 pounds.
